SunMoksha’s innovations have won national and international awards and recognition.

• Smart Nanogrid™ won the highest recognition of the Greater Good Award 2022 from Microgrid Knowledge

• Smart Nanogrid™ won the Millennium Alliance Award jointly funded by US-AID and DST/GoI.

• Smart Nanogrid™ was a finalist for the India Rwanda Innovation Growth Program for technology partnership in Rwanda.

• Smart AQUAnet™ won FLCTD Award (Facility for Low Carbon Technology Deployment) jointly managed by UNIDO and BEE and funded by the  Global Environmental Facility (GEF).

• The Chhotkei and Kudagaon Smart Nanogrid™ implementations in Odisha won the  Smart Village Award at the Smart Cities Conference.

• Smart MEZ™ is being implemented at Katashola in Jharkhand state of India under  CM Smart Gram Scheme  with the government and Kalamandir (NGO).

• Smart Nanogrid™ won accolades from India’s Former Energy Minister Piyush Goyal at the India Smart Grid Conference and Mr. Upendra Tripathy, Former Secretary MNRE, in BBC News.

• Chhotkei Smart Nanogrid™ was showcased by the MNRE and DFID to national and international experts and organizations as  the model for developing microgrids of the future.

• Smart Nanogrid™ has received widespread media coverage including BBC News and German DW News, Hindu Business Line, etc.

• Technical papers  have also been published on Smart Nanogrid™ and Village Socio-Economic Development models of SunMoksha in Akshay Urja, India Smart Grid  Forum, ASME IDETC. 

• Rural development model has attracted researchers from across the globe – Universities of Oklahoma and Buffalo in the USA, Universities of Cambridge, Oxford and Liverpool in the UK, and University of Ghana in the Sub-saharan Africa.
